At Kingsway Baptist Church we preach and teach the Word of God and our desire is to help others live their lives to the glory of our Savior. We strive to be an evangelistic church in the Lake Wylie area as well as have a heart for missions around the world. We offer opportunities and instruction for all age groups from young children to senior citizens. The best place to learn and grow in Christ is a warm, caring church; a place where your life is our focus. Kingsway Baptist Church is an independent church that held its opening service on March 25, 2007 at Camp Thunderbird. We moved to The Giving Tree Child Development Center in June of 2007 and are so thankful for the wonderful facilities we had the opportunity to use. The Lord provided a piece of property for us that we purchased on June 9, 2009. This property is located on the corner of Pole Branch Rd and Fewell Rd. We moved into a newly constructed church building in March of 2013 and are so thankful for all that God is doing!
Pastor
Pastor Jerry Jacquot was born in Miami, Florida to Christian parents. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior when he was 10 years old and felt a call to the ministry while in junior high. After graduating from high school, Jerry attended Baptist University of America in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated with a degree in Bible. He then went to Bob Jones University and earned a Master of Divinity degree. After completing his degree, Jerry took an associate pastor position at Tulsa Baptist Temple in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His responsibilities while in Tulsa included the children’s ministries, youth ministries, choir, music and ministry to young couples. After 13 years in Tulsa, God moved him to Lake Wylie, South Carolina where he has lived since 2001. Jerry helped begin a Spanish church in the South Charlotte area and then started Kingsway Baptist Church in the Lake Wylie/Steele Creek area in 2007.
What We Believe
- We believe the Holy Scriptures are the inspired Word of God.
- We believe in one triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Maker, Preserver, and Ruler of all things.
- We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is eternally equal with God; that He lived a sinless life on earth; that He died at Calvary as a satisfactory sacrifice for sinners
- We believe that the local church is an organization composed of professing believers, instituted for the purpose of fellowship, worship and service.

Here at Kingsway Baptist Church, our involvement in missions is not only a command, it is also a privilege. We are so thankful for the opportunity to have a part in the ministries of some of the best missionaries on the field and be used by God to share salvation with people around the world.
